Fundraising as part of team: Fred's Team

My Story

As many of you know, our little Freddie passed away from a rare cancer in 2023. After being told that there were no treatment options left we were introduced to the amazing team at the Treehouse in Ipswich. They are part of the East Anglian Childrens Hospices and are INCREDIBLE.

Feeling lost, distraught, scared and completley broken we didnt know what to expect. The team picked us up, took care of Freddie, Carley and Paul, and all his family that came to see him, and became a rock for us all.

They were and still are family. A place we will remember for the teddy bears picnic, the painting sessions, music time, cakes galore, late night chats and constantly making Freddie smile.

But all of this cannot be achieved without the support of us all. Fundraising events like this one mean the world to EACH and that is why Paul and Ryan will be walking 32 miles on Saturday 22nd June. From Cromer to Great Yarmouth they will take on the walk to raise money fora wonderful cause. If you are on the beach that day make sure you say hi!

Little bit more about EACH....

EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk and support their families.

The key services which they provide includes: specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.

£200- could pay for a Community Nursing Pack to provide essential equipment to deliver care in family home or elsewhere in the community.
£600- could pay for a Clinical Nurse Specialist for the week to provide expert nursing care to children and young people with life-threatening conditions.
£1,100- could pay for five sessions of Hydrotherapy which can help to relieve pain and relax muscles.

For families accessing care and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time. When time is short, EACH helps families make the most of their precious time together and create memories that last forever. Thank you for supporting EACH by donating to my page.
