My Story

Hi, my name is Josh and I am raising money for The Treehouse in memory of my older brother James.

This is my first ever fundraising event for my brother, and I want to raise as much as I can as EACH looked after my brother, mum and dad.

James Rawlings was born in 2016, and was dependant on a life-support machine just after his birth.

His parents, Jo and Jon, were able to take James home when he started to breathe independently but he passed away when he was just 18-days-old.

While James was alive, the family received help, support and care from East Anglia's Children's Hospice's (EACH) The Treehouse.

I am taking part in The Piglet Junior Hog 2025 in aid of East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH). EACH ensure the best possible quality of life and make every moment count for children and families. 

The key services they provide include: specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.

- £20 - Could pay for a Counsellor for 1 hour to provide emotional support to help families cope during the more difficult times.

- £24 - Could pay for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide 1 hour of expert care, tailored to each child and young person

- £16- Could pay for a Play Specialist to provide a 1 hour session of personalised play, catered to each child's individual needs.

The supportive care EACH provides for babies, children, young people and their families is all-encompassing. If required, this life-long support includes specialist nursing, therapies and ongoing wellbeing care through all the ups and downs. Thank you for supporting EACH by donating to my fundraising page.
