My Story

I'm taking on a muddy 4km fundraising challenge to support a charity that means so much to my family. When my son Isaac was born in 2009, our world was turned upside down after he was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. We were told he wouldn’t live to see his first birthday, and at just five months old, Isaac passed away  

During that time, the support we received gave us something we’ll always be grateful for – the chance to spend precious, meaningful time together as a family. We were able to share a Christmas with Isaac, create memories we’ll hold onto forever, and feel cared for when we needed it most.

Now, I’m taking on this challenge alongside my youngest son Ned and his football teammates to give something back. It’s a way for me to honour Isaac, raise awareness of SMA, and support other families going through the toughest of times.

Isaac will always be a huge part of our lives, and this is my way of making sure his story continues to be told, while helping others when they need it most.

Their care is all-encompassing, offering specialist nursing, therapies and wellbeing support through all of life's ups and downs.

💜 £78 could fund a music therapist for three hours, using the power of music to support children whatever their abilities or diagnosis.
💜 £54 could fund a play specialist for three hours, offering creative activities that help children understand, cope and find joy even in difficult times.
💜 £26 could fund an occupational therapist for an hour, helping families improve wellbeing and quality of life through tailored activities.
